The Problem

Teacher burnout is a significant issue in education, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment.

Many teachers face "technostress" from integrating technology into their curriculum without adequate training or resources. Factors such as high workloads, insufficient support, and ineffective technology tools exacerbate this challenge, leading to anxiety, decreased job satisfaction, and high attrition rates.

Nearly 50% of teachers leave their roles within five years, creating a financial and operational burden on districts while negatively impacting student learning outcomes.

The Solution

The "Empowering Educators: Reducing Teacher Burnout Through Technology" course is designed to address these issues by equipping educators with practical, time-saving e-learning strategies.

The program provides targeted training on integrating technology effectively, building confidence, and reducing technostress.

With interactive tutorials, collaborative tools, and a supportive learning environment, this course empowers teachers to enhance efficiency and well-being, fostering long-term retention and a positive classroom impact.

The Process

I drew on the ADDIE framework to design and develop "Empowering Educators: Reducing Teacher Burnout Through Technology." This eLearning course was informed by extensive research on teacher burnout and the impacts of technostress, alongside feedback from educators about their challenges with integrating technology.

I used action mapping to align course objectives with practical, stress-reducing solutions.

The course was storyboarded to ensure a logical flow of content and interactive elements, emphasizing simplicity and engagement.

Finally, I utilized Articulate Rise to create a visually appealing and user-friendly experience, incorporating real-world scenarios and scaffolded activities to build confidence in technology use.

Storyboard

I created a detailed storyboard to outline the visual and instructional flow of a project.
