Problem Statement

Teachers are facing high levels of burnout.

Effects of Burnout

  • 17% of teachers are leaving their position each year

  • United States will hire 376,000 new teachers in 2025

  • 50% of that number will leave in 5 years

  • This turnover costs ~$2.2 billion annually

Needs Gap

Lack of targeted, actionable training that bridges the gap between current challenges and desired outcomes, particularly in technology.

Training programs often lack hands-on, practical applications, leaving educators underprepared.

The Solution

Proper training using various technology platforms to alleviate workload and combat technostress caused by constant technology enhancements.

Teachers utilize technology to reduce teacher burnout

  • create educational content via technology that is simple, effective, and engaging

  • reduce time spent on tedious tasks and free teachers to focus on meaningful instructional activities

Course Objective

By the end of this course, 90% of participants will analyze and implement three technology-based solutions, applying them to real-world classroom scenarios to improve workload management and reduce stress.

Scope

6-week course to reduce teacher burnout through education in three educational technologies: lesson planning (Planboard), interactive content (Nearpod), and classroom management (Pear Deck).

Implementation

Pilot Course to be launched Spring 2025 to EduThemes social media followers and local schools.

Pre-Assessments: teacher burnout survey and technology comfort survey

Post Assessments: Platform implementation success (including student data), workflow improvement survey, and stress reduction metrics.

The Pitch Deck

Present research, the problem, the needs gap, and the solution. As well as instructional theories that will be implemented and the instructional model to be used.
